Art Camp, Damphu, 2008

The Journey

The day was bright and sunny. All the participants who were going to the camp had gathered at VAST by 8: 30 am. The faces were bright and everyone was hyper-excited. For me, I was going to a camp after longtime (3 years).
By 9: 15 a.m. all our luggages were safely loaded and we were sitting comfortably in our places waiting for the journey to start. There were 3 vehicles, one coaster bus and two Hi-ace buses. We stopped at Dochula Pass. But we couldn’t see much as it had become foggy by then.
We stopped for lunch at Kamechu at around 1:00 p.m. After lunch we rested while others swam in the river. By the time we reached Damphu High Secondary School, Tsirang. It was 4:30 pm. We were kept in the hostel. We girls went to our hostel and unpacked and rested. There were only 25 girls participating, and all of us were accommodated in one room.
The dinner was served at 7: 00 p.m. and after dinner we gathered at the school auditorium and talked to the other participants. We called it a night at 10:00 pm.

After the game was over, we all went back to our group and showed our assignment to the group leader and the group leader selected three best arts from the group. While moving on they selected best of the best from each group and was followed by the distribution of name tags to whole members including the co-coordinators.
