3rd open spring basketball tournament. |

The Tsirang Sports Association (TSA) organized its 3rd open spring basketball tournament from the 10th to 25th of April, whereby 6 teams participated. The open tournament was based on the theme of “Creating awareness among people about Waste Management”. The tournament gathered much attention as the teams consisted of office goers, teachers and students. After a long intense struggle between teams for the top two spots, the Dzongkhag united and the Damphu Higher Secondary School team went into finals. As the two teams were equally strong, the game intensified with DHSS winning in the end with a lead of one basket.
The tournament held this year was different and unique from the previous ones, as this time the tournament was based on a theme to unify people and create awareness about waste management. The finals was graced by the presence of our chief guest Lam Neten.
So after much hustling and struggling the tournament finally came to an end with much hope from the teams who couldn’t win this time that they will play better next time and the winning teams set to defend their titles in the future. TSA will be organizing football and volleyball tournament next.
