COMPENSATION FOR CROP DAMAGE. |

The cyclone aila which occurred on July 25th and 26th in the year 2009 severely affected the crops of fifty households in Lhumilum village under Dunglagang Geog and three households under Gosalling Geog. The total cropped area destroyed was 40.26 acres; resulting in total loss of 46000 kgs of crops .A irrigation channel was also washed away in Phuntenchu geog.
The Royal Government in collaboration with the Austrian Development Cooperation provided a compensation of Nu 1.15 million for the crop damaged and the amount was handed over to affected households by the Dzongkhag Administration on 10th April, 2010.
A sum of Nu 2, 35,501(two Lakh, thirty five thousand, five hundred and one) was also received by the Dzongkhag Administration for the rehabilitation of the irrigation channel in Phuntenchu Geog.
In total a sum of nu 1,385,501 was provided to Tsirang Dzongkhag.
