COMMUNITY FOREST
Total no of Community Forest established/approved under Tsirang Dzongkhag
1. Samdrup Community Forest: It was the first Community Forest in Tsirang Dzongkhag at Patala Geog with an area of 907 acres and it was established in the year 2006 and it was approved by the Head of Departmernt, Department of Forest.
Regarding the boundariesSergithang village in the East, Gorzuray in the west, Mazagoan Dangra in the North and Neutar in the South.
At present we have proposed two community at Mendrelgang Geog, Tsirangtoe Geog and we are under processes for preparation of Draft plan for two Community Forest and we have two proposal of Community at Rangthangling Geog and Shemjong Geog.
PRIVATE FOREST
Till upto now we don’t have Private Forest Established in Tsirang Dzongkhag due to Cadastral map and at present we are under processes for establishment of Private Forest since we have received cadastrial map.
COMMUNITY NURSERY
We have one Community Nursery at Mendrelgang Geog which is established near the road.
The main Objectives for establishment of Community Nursery is to produce seedlings for their income generation and enhance for poverty reduction through selling of seedlings
To meet the seedling demands in the geogs
CONSTRAINTS/BOTTLE NECKS
Lack of Financial problem.
PRIVATE NURSERY
At present we have two private nursery at Dunglagang and Gosaling Geog in Tsirang Dzongkhag.
The main objectives for establishment of private nursery are to generate income through selling of seedlings and to meet the seedling demand in the geogs.
CONSTRAINTS /BOTTLE NECK FOR ESTABLISHMENT OFF PRIVATE NURSERY
1. Labour shortage.
2. Financial problem
3. Long term processes.
WATERSHED MANAGEMENT
In forestry Sector we have activities for establishment of water source protection.
The main objectives for establishment of watershed management is to protect catchment area for continueous supply of clean water to the rural communities.
RURAL TIMBER SUPPLY
Regarding the rural timber supply we have two types of rural timber verification ( resettlement and permanent)
For permanent we sanctioned the timber in concessional royalty for duration of 3 months from July to September and for the resettlement we sanction the timber with free of royalty throughout the year.
